Faculty of Philosophy can enroll a number of international applicants, not exceeding the total number of students as set in the accreditation documentation. A foreign citizen can enroll in the status of a “self-financing student” (paying the full tuition fee), as specified by the Faculty. Faculty of Philosophy is one of the very few educational institutions in Serbia that have set equal tuition fees for domestic and international students.
The relevant fees are as follows (1 Euro roughly equals 120 Serbian dinars – RSD):

Application
All students (including foreign students) directly apply and are enrolled in all levels of studies at the Faculty of Philosophy. When applying, candidates are obliged to present for inspection their original documents, and submit respective copies and their certified translations together with the application form.
In order to be considered for admission, the following is required from all foreign applicants:
- Validated diploma or school leaving certificate of four-year secondary education, together with the transcripts of records for each of the four years and the final examination diploma (if applicable) (when applying for BA studies); relevant tertiary level diplomas, i. e. a Bachelor or a Master degree with transcripts for each year (when applying for MA and doctoral studies);
- Doctoral studies candidates should also submit the list of published papers with photocopies of entire papers;
- Proof of payment of enrolment fee/differential exam fee (if applicable);
- Passport/Biometric ID card photocopy/data printout;
- Application form, available at the Office of Students’ Affairs at the Faculty;
- Proof of Serbian language proficiency (please consult the Center for Serbian as a Foreign and the Second Language – this document does not have to be submitted by the applicants for MA studies of English language and literature);
A foreign citizen may conditionally submit an application for enrollment to a study program when the procedure for the recognition of foreign school i.e. higher education documents has not been completed before the deadline for submitting the application for enrollment. If the request for recognition is refused or the recognition of the foreign document does not entitle the candidate to enroll the study program to which the candidate has applied, the application will be rejected.
Entrance Exam
Entrance exams are generally organized in the Serbian language, with the exception of the Departments of English, French, German and Russian.
The candidates pay the entrance exam fee and other application-related expenses directly to the faculty bank account. The candidates have to show their passport or ID card when taking the exam.
Enrolment
Accepted candidates have to submit:
- Original documents (validated diplomas together with the original transcripts of records for each year of schooling);
- Birth certificate, with certified translation into Serbian;
- Proof of having health insurance for the current academic year;
- Two registration forms (so-called ŠV-20, available at the Office of Students’ Affairs);
- University of Niš index (student booklet);
- Two photos sized 4.5 x 3.5 cm;
- Proof of payment of tuition fee.
The faculty reserves the right to require some additional admission documents.
Candidates are advised to contact individual Departments of their choice in order to receive detailed information on enrolment conditions and entrance examinations.

Validation of Documents
All documents related to previous secondary education have to be validated and recognized by the Qualifications Agency of the Republic of Serbia. Requests for recognition of foreign school certificates and diplomas are to be submitted by registered mail or personally at the reception desk of the Qualification Agency in Belgrade, every working day from 10 am to 2 pm, on the following address:
